This
is a critical
request. We need members AND non members to get
involved. And we need you and them involved NOW!
Talking
Points (Word) Please DO
NOT forward these talking points to legislators.
They are for your use only and are not a substitute for personal phone calls,
and emails to legislators.

Call you
legislator Monday Afternoon and Tuesday Morning.
(1)
Be
mindful that the amendments proposed by the NCCOB to Mortgage Lending Act have
not been introduced yet
AND
(2)
NCAMP
is working on a bill seeking relief from the inclusion of government program
fees in the “5 point test”
Ask
your legislator to either sponsor or support our (the NCAMP) bill when it
is finalized. (If
they will consider sponsoring, let us know and we will get the draft to them for
review)
Again
theses bills have NOT been introduced yet but it is critical that you report
back any positive or negative feedback you receive, to NCAMP Legislative
Chair Neill Fendly @ nfendly@dovermortgage.com
Then
download and complete the “Legislative Action Sign Up Sheet” and fax back to
NCAMP.

Get
non-members of NCAMP involved as well. Don’t let them say that NCAMP
doesn’t do anything for them so why get involved and why join. Here is
just another example of what we do for the industry. But we need to
represent the most of the mortgage industry, not just a portion.
Convince
them to join. We need EVERYONE in
the mortgage business involved. This legislative battle will be fierce and

We
cannot reiterate how vital you are to this process. As a voter and
constituent to these legislators, your voice will help them understand just how
important these issues are to you AND your business.
